CesarFTP GET Modified Triple Dot Arbitrary File Access |
|
 |
Fiche créée le 2004-04-09 05:52:26, dernière mise à jour le 2010-04-12 16:03:56
CesarFTP contains a flaw that allows a remote attacker to access arbitrary files outside of the web path. The issue is due to the program not properly sanitizing user input, specifically traversal style attacks (../../) supplied via the GET command.
Visit a directory to which you have access.
For example, if the directory were named "RESTRICTED", entering the following would grant access to the victim's harddrive:
ftp://[victim]/RESTRICTED/...%5c/
